Learn How To Provide Exceptional Content And Customer Service Through Your Social Media

The Azusa Police Department started their social media program on January 1, 2014. Fifteen days later, the program garnered international attention when a massive wildfire broke out in the hills above the city. The recently implemented social media program aided in evacuations, eased anxiety, and helped to coordinate instantly with multiple agencies. Due to the attention and following of the community, the program was forced to produce exceptional content and provide a level of “customer service” seen frequently in successful companies, yet less common in government.

During this session, you will learn how to apply these lessons learned to your own social media strategy in order to produce informational and current content, including how to:
  • Discover what it takes to implement and run a successful social media program
  • Get your staff and decision makers on board with social media efforts
  • Form positive relationships with media and news groups
