Don’t Just Engage Your Citizens, Have Them Join Your Workforce!

Learn how U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) successfully uses a combination of crowdsourcing, social media, and smartphone technology to identify and locate fugitive child predators.

Participants will learn how social media outreach complements traditional media to exponentially increase public awareness of an issue and how a smartphone app can leverage that awareness by providing an avenue for the public to connect with the government.

While your agency may not be looking for child predators, you will learn some great takeaways from this session, including how to:
  • Develop a smartphone app for a government agency
  • Combine a variety of communication tools to increase successes
  • Engage your communities and increase public awareness of your current goals and mission
